It reminds me of nothing so much as an old bit of humor that went around IT shops.

I think it’s generally a good idea that the legislative branch takes its oversight duty and oversight powers seriously. But this does not look like a genuine attempt at oversight; this looks more like a petty tantrum, and one that may lead to disastrous consequences.
