Blame the Unvaccinated !!!

Survey says the vaccinated overwhelmingly blame the unvaccinated for the rise of COVID-19 cases.
What do they say in Israel?

The data will tell the story. It used to be important to be on the right side of a prediction but we know that doesn’t matter anymore so it’s not worth an argument.
What predictions are you referring to?
Honestly reading all the comments it’s tough to see where people stand versus the snark and such.
One prediction was no mandates for vaccinations. Another I thought might be that vaccinated people get as sick as vaccinated but I could be wrong. Another might be that illegal immigrants were the cause of the current wave. Another amongst the vaccine hesitant is that chasing a vaccine is fools play and just letting people get Covid is a better way to get through this.

What data? All we’re hearing are words like “Vast Majority” and “almost all”. Of course, the numbers from Israel are 39% against transmission. Fortunately, the numbers are much higher against serious illness, but that doesn’t prevent spread, so…
Of course, if “almost all” and “vast majority” is true, why are they now advising everybody to mask up again?
Considering the fact that there hasn’t been a single variant of note coming from the US, and that the unvaccinated adult population of the US is a tenth of a percentage point of the global unvaccinated population, forgive me if I don’t blame these people and choose to blame the virus and those that modified it instead.

I'm not an epidemiologist, but it strikes me that people not getting vaccinated is hardly likely to help. In fact, I'd confidently predict that it's actively going to hinder the fight against reducing the number of infections, and the further spread of the disease.
We can go on about Israel and illegal immigrants and Christ alone knows what from now until the cows come home, but would anybody disagree with the above?

Great. Clarifying question, do you support Governor KayeIvey’s imperative?

That people should choose to get vaccinated? I absolutely support that, always have, and have successfully helped convince several hesitant folks to do so. Unfortunately, there are also several others that I have not been able to help, mostly because they get angered by the proposals and attitudes that I have seen expressed here and elsewhere.
Now, do I blame the current spread on the unvaccinated? Absolutely not. Spivey was way off base and her statement caused more harm than good.

One prediction was no mandates for vaccinations.
That we wouldn't have legal mandates for vaccines? That prediction is accurate so far.
Another I thought might be that vaccinated people get as sick as vaccinated but I could be wrong.
Yes, you probably are wrong about that, but don't let that stop you from reacting to the impression that the prediction was made.
Another might be that illegal immigrants were the cause of the current wave.
Maybe! or maybe not. Again, don't let it stop you from reacting as if it were actually said.
Another amongst the vaccine hesitant is that chasing a vaccine is fools play and just letting people get Covid is a better way to get through this.
Maybe again! Definitely continue reacting as if it was written here. Please do NOT verify whether it was ever written - that is a waste of time. I think it's pretty clear what people here think, regardless of what they actually write.

Places yourself at increased risk of hospitalization/death, and you're also more infectious than someone with a breakthrough infection.
It's amazing to me that people actually expect anti-vaxxer arguments to be taken seriously.

That is the resigned sigh of a person who's lost hope that anybody else is capable of matching his reason and sanity.
Then you went on to list a bunch of predictions you "might" have seen on this board, most to all of which you never saw. In support of your implication that nobody else can match your reason and sanity.

I think you are right to take note that I have said vaccine hesitancy is a real problem with strong language and I applaud Kay Ivey and others for their efforts in encouraging the vaccine hesitant folks to push through it. I also have read that the best method to get folks vaccines is to not bully them into it but to provide incentives and education and find a way to get to the root of the hesitancy and have strategic patience. It may in fact the faster way to get through this and impatient folks like me need to digest that. I think we have arrived at the point that it a question of how now and not if,. That is great progress.

That’s not enough information to know what’s going on.
Let’s say that outbreak is among a population of 1000 people. If 95% of them are vaccinated, that’d actually be a pretty good look on the vaccine.
If the rates are much lower for vaccination - then not so much.

It kinda is. There are 32 NFL teams. Each has 90 guys in camp right now, because it's the first week of practice. 90% are vaccinated.
