Is US entering fourth wave of COVID?

@mik said in Is US entering fourth wave of COVID?:
Areas are spiking, but no one quite knows how high up it'll go. It's virus vs. current vaccines at this point.

Show me the mortality rates. And the hospitalization rates. That's what will determine how severe this wave will be. And may also determine vaccine rates in some places.
-
Does the tenor of this shift though?
If 99% or some such of the deaths are non-vaccinated people, doesn't it sort of become a self-selected risk?
I'll keep taking the boosters or whatever - but I'm over it at this point. No masks, I don't adjust any of my behavior anymore.

So, the deaths haven't followed, but that could be just the usual lag. Would be interesting when the mortality and hospitalization rates get broken down by age group and whether the people were vaccinated and which vaccine was used.
That may be key in persuading certain groups to become vaccinated.
BTW, did anybody see where Eisen is battling COVID? He was fully vaccinated a few months ago...
