Vaccine Development?

So what's going on with the Novavax, Clover, Valneva, Baylor/Texas Christian, and the Italian and Israeli vaccines? Are they still in development? A traditional vaccine based on an inactive virus could go along way with some of the hesitant...

What's going on the J/J one for that matter? Isn't that a traditional one too?
Is there a specific concern with mRNA? There's new medical technology all the time, and we don't know the long term effects until the long-term.
It's just weird to me that we inundate our bodies with stuff that we know kills us - because, you gotta live your life... but there's so much concern about long-term effects of mRNA for some reason.

The J&J vaccine uses cells that are derived from fetal stem cells that were originally taken from an abortion in the 70’s. It’s a non-starter for a lot of Catholics and Evangelicals.
