Meanwhile, in The State Capitol Building...
California has reinstated a mask mandate for all lawmakers and employees at the state Capitol, regardless of vaccination status, following an outbreak of nine coronavirus cases there.
All nine people who contracted the coronavirus are legislative staffers, four of whom were fully vaccinated.
Effective immediately, people are required to wear a mask at all times while in the Capitol, Legislative Office Building and district offices, Secretary of the Senate Erika Contreras and Assembly Chief Administrative Officer Debra Gravert wrote in memos Tuesday.
Viruses gotta virus.

The first major piece on Covid was titled “The Hammer and the Dance”.
It’s proven to be so true.
Guidance will change early and often. It matters not to me to comply, so easy. I just keep a mask in my car. Wore one to see the doctor this week. Feel bad they have to wear them all the time.
Oh and for flights, glad we are thinning the herd or flyers who need to be assholes. No fly list baby.

They don't. Wear masks in the doctor's office. Not when they aren't around you, which means there are plenty of airborne particles in the air.
And since your mask is probably not an N95 and since even if it is, you've exceeded the protective time frame...Enjoy!

There are masks, and there are masks. I can't abide the ones with the elastics that go over your ears. After a couple of hours, it drives me nuts.
Here's what I always wore. Never got uncomfortable even during an 8 hour case. I have a box in the laundry room for those occasions when I know I'm going to be wearing one for a longer time.

Possibly. How many people have them?
And does your doctor's office observe the same sterile protocol as an OR?

My point is this...Masks only provide a fraction of barrier protection that is not nearly what most people think.
And as far as staff masks in the office go...I'm telling you what I see. When the employees or docs are around patients or walking down the hallway, they mask. Behind closed doors, staff tends to lay them on the counter or pull them down.
I have not seen the back areas of the hospital treated the same as the public areas. Not in some time...

I think we all get that. Why people go to war over masks is the question. The outrage is a strong indicator of a sick society, like whales beaching themselves or bee colony collapse.
