    Finally got around to a 30 day free trial to stream CD and high resolution recirdings from Qobuz. Phenomenal selection of music titles especially for classical, jazz, folk and world music. 100 million titles in the data base.

    Right now am listening to some absolutely delicious baroque guitar and theobro music.

    Impressive.

      @mark

      Until recently Qobuz in Canada was only available to audio equipment dealers. Since I worked part time for a hi-fi dealer until 2020, I became familiar with it. Qobuz far surpassed available titles the other streaming service, Tidal, offered in the store.

      The subscription is $1 more per month than buying an MP3 recording from iTunes. Go figure.

      I now have my sound system back again.

      Elbows up!

        apparently Mozart wrote some wrong notes in the piece.

          THis immediately disqualifies him.

              They should record Vivek accompanying Trump singing some Schubert Lieder.

              I'd like to see Mark make that sound good on his fancy-schmancy stereo.

                @Doctor-Phibes

                That would definitely be low fidelity, even lower than MP3 quality. I don’t think even Mark’s magic could make it sound better.

                        I'm a sucker for "The Great American Songbook."

                        I'd never heard of this artist until she came up in my FB feed for Postmodern Jukebox.

                        She's 25 years old. What a voice...

                                    Went to a reggae concert last night, and an opera broke out.

                                    Link to video

                                    Reminded me of the great movie Step Brothers. I like to imagine the band took inspiration from the movie, but more likely it's the most famous opera song and so it appears everywhere.

                                    I was trying to describe what reggae music was to my mom, and came up with "black people hippy music". I was proud of that one.
