@jolly said in Trump goes there.:
And what are the charges for those black folk?
Not storming the Capitol to stop the election of the President of the US.
It almost seems as if you want a Congressional investigation of January 6. Can you imagine all that video being shown again?
What they did to those Capitol police officers, attacking their own kind.
You may convince me it’s an important step.

@loki said in Trump goes there.:
Something like 70% of federal detainees stay in jail while awaiting trial, they are overwhelmingly black.
overwhelmingly ?
You can double-check that here: https://www.bop.gov/about/statistics/statistics_inmate_race.jsp
You know what's funny?
Most people, probably including you, believed what you posted.

That’s inmates. I said detained prior to trial but you are just making my other point of how black people are treated even stronger.

I think you missed the point.
You have been fooled into thinking something is overwhelming.
It is not.
I’ve been fooled, that is rich. I just won’t go down with the ship. I’m pretty clear eyed about what I see and as a person who leans conservative I won’t give up my credibility in the process.

Oh, I think some objectivity sailed away long ago...

Trump went there:
Miller called Meadows, still in the West Wing, and then the president. The president seemed eager to hear from Miller, eager to be on the phone. Most often for Trump, the phone was a one-way instrument: Callers listened.
“How bad is this?” Trump asked, a stark difference from his usual opener, “How are we doing?” — which was not, ordinarily, a question at all but a preface to Trump’s saying how well everything was going.
“Mr. President, today is literally going to change everything.”
“This looks terrible. This is really bad. Who are these people? These aren’t our people, these idiots with these outfits. They look like Democrats. Hold on, our great First Lady is here,” said Trump, switching to speakerphone.
“Jason,” said the great First Lady with a sharp note. “The media is trying to go and say this is who we are. We don’t support this.”
“That’s what we have to make clear,” said Miller, relieved that the president and First Lady were seeing the protesters as bad guys rather than good guys (and not a mix of the two).

Sounds about right. Sadly, they were idiots who were all-in on the stolen election narrative, rather than Democrats.
