Sadly, I missed the explosion in 2014.

I watched it from my driveway in Herndon.

I had seen Wallops launches from there before. The rocket looked about the size of a fingernail at arms length, and no sound.

I watched the liftoff on my iPad, then looked up expecting to see the rocket in a few seconds. I never saw a thing, except on the iPad. It didn't get high enough.

A nice, calm and respectable lady went into the pharmacy, walked right up to the pharmacist, looked straight into his eyes, and said, "I would like to buy some cyanide."

The pharmacist asked, "Why in the world do you need cyanide?"

The lady replied, "I need it to poison my husband."

The pharmacists eyes got big and he exclaimed, "Lord have mercy! I can't give you cyanide to kill your husband! That's against the law! I'll lose my license! They'll throw both of us in jail! All kinds of bad things will happen. Absolutely not! You CANNOT have any cyanide!"

The lady reached into her purse and pulled out a picture of her husband in bed with the pharmacist's wife.

The pharmacist looked at the picture and replied, "Well now. That's different. You didn't tell me you had a prescription."

Remember when the Democrats were considered stupid and the Republicans were considered evil?

Despite numerous James Bond movies that would indicate otherwise, evil and stupid are clearly not mutually exclusive.

He punted, because he's elected and has to live there. Cannot even have a hint of racism, because that dog is gonna howl all day and night, if Fani gets removed.

I think the Judge is praying mightily that the appellate court gives her the boot.

A lot of really really brave men during that time.

according to US Department of Veterans Affairs statistics, 119,550 of the 16.4 million Americans who served in World War II are alive as of 2023.

Again, one of those things that couldn't be funnier if it was planned as a comedy sketch.

Re-reading the books has given new insights into the Netflix series. There's SO much material that is subtle, that really doesn't make sense unless you know the whole story. The first season uses material from the second and third books, not just #1.

I rewatched (at fast speed, skipping a lot) the first two episodes this afternoon - before my nap. They've done a good job making the story approachable while keeping the overall theme.

Season 2 should be fun - if it happens.

Do you have any other animals in the house?

    Nope.

Calling bullshit on that. I bet there are either three or four primates living in your house at the moment.

It might take out a worm.

    It just might.

I can think of other household uses like a laundry additive or as disinfectant solvent.

Classified docs on phone, breached by "hostile actor."

Republicans lawmakers have uncovered “troubling allegations” that President Biden’s suspended special envoy to Iran, Robert Malley, stored classified material on his personal email account and cellphone — which was later accessed by a “hostile cyber actor.”

The top Republicans on the Senate Foreign Relations and House Foreign Affairs committee on Monday asked the State Department to confirm the allegations against Malley, who was quietly placed on unpaid leave last June and had his security clearance suspended amid a State Department investigation reportedly centered on his potential mishandling of classified information.

The State Department has refused to reveal the exact nature of the allegations against Malley, leading Senate Foreign Relations Committee ranking member James Risch (R-Idaho) and House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) to launch their own investigation into Biden’s top diplomat for Iran.

    "Most transparent..."

“Specifically, we understand that Mr. Malley’s security clearance was suspended because he allegedly transferred classified documents to his personal email account and downloaded these documents to his personal cell phone,” Risch and McCaul wrote.

I think that's always been the case though.... the pricing is in line with previous iPads. This thing has some substantive new features like a much beefier chip (though the current ones are already overkill) + more importantly OLED screen.

    It's a niche product though .

Weird to think that the case with the most actual teeth might have been the debate over the value of the Trump assets.
