Due to the new law’s sweeping implications for political speech and elections, it seems almost certain to draw legal challenges. and In 2010, the Supreme Court issued a ruling in the case of Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission which asserted that independent corporate spending on elections is a form of protected speech. The ruling famously nullified past guardrails on political spending, and contributed to the formation of so-called “super PAC” political action committees, which can support their chosen candidates with unlimited corporate backing. Though it does not directly dispute that corporations have a right to political speech, the new Hawaii law says that, since the powers of corporations are granted by states, the state can decline to grant corporations the power to spend on elections in the first place. In her address on Thursday, she also affirmed that she would vote in favour of staying in Canada.

It was not for President Trumps recent trip to China, but I remember reading an article about PResident XX (can't remember who) trip to China, and there was a graphic of how much support logistics were required. XX number of planes, XXX number of cars/SUV's, XXXX number of security people, XXX poundage of food and drinks, and on and on. It was quite interesting and eye opening.

Was a pretty good video message. Random comments I had never hear of the second drug Vitriol(?) that he mentioned was good for 30 days. I wonder what % of drug addict go back to addiction? My guess is that it is at least 30%. When I was in LA about three years ago, the homelessness was really really really bad. Could not walk down a sidewalk without running into a tent or other homeless person. I was last there about 1/5 years ago, and it was much better. I am not sure if LA was just hiding them better, but there were definitely less homeless on the streets that I could see. He mentions that much of the homeless/addicts have someone waiting for them back home to take care of them. Doubt that this is the case. Anyway, something needs to be done, as the current method does not work.
