Weird Fact About Oklahoma
-
Looking at a clickbait thing that lists every state's most dangerous animal. Here is one I didn't expect:
"One of the Oklahoma's strange problems is its many tigers out in the wild. This is a result of them escaping from zoos and other facilities. It is not that tigers are especially great escape artists, but there was a case where a fence was not adequate and another case where a tiger got out because a tornado set it free."

There are no tigers in the wild in Louisiana. At one time, there might have been, but Wildlife & Fisheries told the coonasses that although they were good to eat, tiger season was closed and penalties were doubled for hunting them at night.
And that's why we don't have wild tigers in Louisiana.
Sorta tame ones? Well, that's another story...

Eaten what? In Oklahoma it's probably a nice chicken fried steak.

That is a picture of Mike VII. Mike is not a bengal tiger, but a bengal-siberian mix. He has his own Tiger Cam, if you like watching a lazy tiger lounge around all day.
