Okay, I'll bite. Why is the Japanese rate so low?

None of them good. Especially with the Olympics coming, will be a white knuckle event for them.

Tried to develop their own. Byzantine regulations for approval. Likely low infection rates when Covid first spread which let complacency seep in.

Because they know, man. They know. Nobody smarter than those Japanese, man… Except maybe the Germans, and they don’t want the vaccine, either!

I wonder if we'll look back at the Olympics and say 'what the hell were we thinking?'.

                I really hope not.

                I was only joking

Presumably everyone coming is vaccinated so the risk must be the breakthrough cases.

Just so long as it’s 1 dose of J&J at 65% or 1 dose of Sinopharm at 35%. A single dose of AZ, Pfizer, or Moderna at ~ 89% or having natural immunity at ~ 90% is NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

The efficacy of Pfizer on the delta variant after one dose is only 36% so they say but shoots back up after the second.

                        That depends on the goal.
