I’ve never seen such cold eyes. He looks like a young SS officer who, gifted by the state with a German Shepherd puppy to raise as his own, can hardly wait for it to grow up so he can strangle it as a demonstration of loyalty to the Reich.

Thanks, Doc Cats for your psychological evaluation of photos to determine personality.

Remember Bill Frist and the flak he caught over diagnosing death? Yeah....

I'd certainly be hesitant to make this kind of evaluation. Clearly, we can tell who and who isn't a 'social climber' based on this type of thing, but puppy-murdering is a bit much.

Of course, I highly doubt that anybody has ever incorrectly accused Jared Kushner of being a social climber.

I didn't make it up! I redd one account that claimed that actually happened back in the day. I don't know how extensively, though.

Stop making stuff up. You know very well they were not meant to savvy or intellectual. Rather they were intended to be annoyingly shallow and more than just a little pedantic.

Don't sell yourself short. I think that exposing reactionaries for what they are, even with seemingly shallow and annoying posts, takes a certain savvy cunning.

I had to look up Baldrick, and I found a page of quotes of Blackadder (played by the aaaabsolutely fabulous Rowan Atkinson):

Here are a couple of samples.

"Samuel Johnson: "This book, sir, contains every word in our beloved language."

            Blackadder: "Every single one, sir?"

Samuel Johnson: "Every single word, sir.

"Blackadder: "Oh, well, in that case, sir, I hope you will not object if I also offer the Doctor my most enthusiastic contrafibularities."

            And:

"There hasn't been a war run this badly since Olaf the Hairy, King of all the Vikings, ordered 80,000 battle helmets with the horns on the inside."

I seem to recall he thought his family name was Sod off. The reason being was he once told Blackadder that whenever he asked someone what his family name was they responded "Sod off, Baldrick". I am sure Phibes will correct me if I am mistaken.

Rather they were intended to be annoyingly shallow and more than just a little pedantic.

Anyhow, check out Baldrick's family name.

Sorry, I'm not following. I find baldrick, the cross-body sling, and I found a reference to the character's family name being Baldrick . . . ?

I seem to recall he thought his family name was Sod off. The reason being was he once told Blackadder that whenever he asked someone what his family name was they responded "Sod off, Baldrick". I am sure Phibes will correct me if I am mistaken.

Ah yes. I saw one quote where a third character asked Blackadder what the S stood for in front of Baldrick. Blackadder says, 'Sod off'. The guy says, I suppose you're right, it isn't actually any of my business."
