What are you listening to now?

RN listening to way to much Taylor Swift. Daughter #3 almost always commandeering the car stereo on our trips.
I did help her purchase a nice entry level turntable and speakers though, which was kind of fun. And bought her Rumors and Revolver as Christmas presents for her growing collection of vinyl.
My oldest is a huge Taylor Swift fan. Some would say a little to much but she is just like that when she is into something. Think me, only exponentially worse. lol
Nobody, and I mean nobody commandeers the stereo, except for me, when I am in the car. And I have 3 daughters. lol

Listen to the use of the pedal in the repeats. Also, how heavy-handed...

I've always enjoyed Chris Isaak's music. I was unaware that, about 9 years ago, he released an album called "Beyond the Sun" in which he covers some of the classic songs from the Sun Studios - "Pretty Woman," "I Walk The Line," and a host of others.
I've not been able to find them on Spotify or Apple Music, but if you look around on Youtube, they're there.
Link to videoThere's a playlist to the right - give it a shot, you geezers.

What do you think of the Joe Pass?
I'm humbled by his ability, which is clearly immense, but I've never really been able to connect with solo jazz guitar - there's just not enough tonal variety for me to listen to it on its own. As part of a bigger band, it's fine.

He's been called the "Paganini of guitar."

Yeah, it's
a bitdifficult. His meanderings seem to be journeys away from the "tune" and I found myself wondering where the HELL he's going with it. When he gets back to the tune, it's almost a relief. It's almost like Art Tatum, but without as much coherence.

It's about the journey out, man, not the return to home.
Gotta dig it.
Also helps if you snap your fingers.
