I posted this elsewhere. Regardless of the guilt or innocence of these doofuses, does their alleged (and it's important to remember that this is alleged) crime warrant solitary confinement?
What other alleged crimes qualify for this type of incarceration?

No, you didn't misread. It's a travesty, no matter if it's a January 6th prisoner, or not. However, many of the January 6th prisoners are imprisoned for relatively minor offenses.
Note: The Jan. 6 defendants are being held in pretrial detention on charges ranging from knowingly entering or remaining in restricted grounds without authority to conspiracy, assault and obstruction of an official proceeding. -
