On the bright side, that 61 year old American black man says that never, in his 61 years, has he felt prejudice. Until that single time.
I'm pretty sure every woke white person would swear to God that that 61 year track record is simply not possible. Never happens, could never happen, period. EVERY minority knows what it is to be the victim of prejudice - and no white person could ever, ever, possibly understand that experience.

That, Horace, was what I took from the story as well. Especially since it is difficult to live in this country if one cannot fucking read.
