Earlier this year, Elon Musk announced that Tesla would invest in cryptocurrencies and accept them as payment. Dollar price of cryptocurrencies went up. Yesterday Elon Mush twitted that Tesla would stop accepting cryptocurrencies until cryptocurrency miners transition to greener energy. Dollar price of cryptocurrencies went down. The environmental impacts of cryptocurrency mining and transaction processing have been well known for a long time. This multi billion dollar farce is quite a farce.
