That is the gist of the story on Tucker Carlson this evening.
Dr. Fauci authorized the payment, by the US government, for the development of covid-19 in the Chinese lab in Wuhan.

It seems like this discussion has been going on for months, I don't think I was aware of it.
I got the impression from Tucker this evening that there were new developments and based on this, basically Dr. Fauci approved the funding for the development.
And of course the kicker is, the mainstream guys are defending the good doctor or ignoring the story.

We all know that creating viruses in labs has always been a thing right?
Going after Fauci as some sort of bad guy is laughable if that is one of the points.
Of all the people on the planet , he has consistently been the best even if you could prove he is only a .300 hitter.

I can't really see why anybody would go after Fauci like this, unless it's because he occasionally made Donald Trump look like a bit of a dick, in a pretty small way.

The National Institutes of Health has awarded a grant worth $7.5 million over five years to EcoHealth Alliance, a U.S.-based nonprofit that hunts emerging viruses. The award comes months after NIH revoked an earlier grant to EcoHealth, a move scientists widely decried as the politically motivated quashing of research vital to preventing the next coronavirus pandemic.
EcoHealth's bat research in China was entirely funded through the $3.7 million NIH grant. A small portion — about $76,000 per year — was used to pay the Wuhan lab for its on-the-ground work.

I don't consider it an allegation. AFAIK, those are facts.

But it doesn't usually generate a world-wide pandemic.
In this case, that is a distinct possibility. Not proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, but a distinct possibility.
I don't think the ultimate goal of this is to eviscerate Fauci, as much as it is to pin the tail on the Chinese donkey...

EcoHealth Alliance paid the Wuhan labThe funding for EcoHealth Alliance/Wuhan lab was re-approved in 2019 under the Trump administration. So, really, it’s Trump’s fault.
