I've received emails from amazon vendors offering compensation for reviews. I can't remember if the review had to be good, to qualify.

Sadly, I've never been approached.

If you sell Apps on the Apple iPhone App store you will get plenty of spam offering to give you thousands of great reviews for a price.

The same for Android.

I have been sent an email from Emily from China asking me to review products. Once my review was up, they would refund the price of the product through Pay Pal (like the article says). I did it once for exercise bands. They weren't terrible, but weren't great. I probably would have given them 4-5 stars as they did what they were advertised to do.

However, since I knew I was going to get the price back, I did feel bad if I did not give them 5 stars.

That was the only time I did it.
