When I was a medical student, doing a 12-week rotation in anesthesiology, I would spend Saturday mornings in the library. I would go to the stacks, pull out the oldest - well the oldest that were relevant - copies of Anesthesiology, Anesthesia and Analgesia and the British Journal of Anaesthesia. and go through them - perhaps two years of journals for each journal. I'd spent the entire morning there and learned a HELL of a lot. My (ex) wife didn't understand why I wanted to do that.
But, yeah, by lunchtime, that would've certainly been me.
