At times like these I really miss the wisdom of Frank Zappa on the current Zeitgeist afflicting our times.

Daltrey is not off the mark in his statements.

We have reached the end of the universe. Daltry is the most sane man in the room.

These people aren’t really genuinely disenfranchised at all.

Zappa had a keen ability to distill our time to its essence and express that beautifully.

He would eviscerate the current zeitgeist in all its forms.

From the same article, Johnny Lydon, a.k.a. Johnny Rotten of the “Sex Pistols": "It’s just horribly, horribly tempestuous spoilt children coming out of colleges and universities with s*** for brains. And I put that in the most polite way,” he later added.

'Horribly tempestuous spoilt children" . . . right on.

Of course, as long as these children get the attention, that's how long they'll continue to be so vastly annoying and destructive. There's a meme-ish expression making the rounds right now that would be useful to apply: "Sit cho ass down."

on the current Zeitgeist afflicting our times.

Is it a true zeitgeist though? Does this aggro rise to that level? With far excessive "news" and op-ed platforms floating about, not to mention the vast sea of social media moronicity, how much of what we see is genuinely representative of an actual zeitgeist and how much is empty clickbait masquerading as real substance?

                  What is real?

No, most of these kids deeply believe this stuff. Of course there is no sense of history and the advances that have been made.

China loves our fixation on being so woke because as we sleep they run the table. Never have I witnessed such a gift.
