IHOP is hoping to make amends with Adam Sandler next week after an unwitting hostess turned away the comedian at a Long Island location.
The IHOP employee, not realizing she was talking to Adam Sandler, told the actor that the restaurant was busy, and it'd be a long wait to be seated. Sandler politely left the restaurant.
There's an old saying that a society can be judged by how well it treats its celebrities. If IHOP treats Adam Sandler like this, how can the rest of us ever expect to be treated? Will we be whipped and forced to scrub the floors whenever we enter an IHOP? That's where this is all headed. Stuff like this makes me question whether I even want to be an American citizen anymore. But then, let's face it, IHOP is international, so I suspect this is the North Korean influence seeping in. Or maybe Canada. One of those bad countries.
IHOP attempted to make amends by offering all you can drink milkshakes to the entire country and donating some of the proceeds to charity, but that's too little, too late.

One of the best things about the pandemic has been not being able to go to IHOP.

IHOP is also donating $1 of each milkshake sold (up to $50,000) at its roughly 1,600 locations across the US to Comedy Gives Back, a charity for struggling comedians that lost income because of the pandemic.
Nice of them to help people like Sandler in these trying times.

The other good thing about the pandemic is the lack of Adam Sandler movies.
