NYT and Wapo are the first two. Any questions about whether leftism dominates the culture?

“Only 20% of Americans pay for their news.”

I pay for Welt+.
Things I found noteworthy:
- nothing from India in the list?
- Scandinavian newspapers are strong relative to the size of their countries
- I wonder how many of the subscriptions for English news are from other countries

20% is plenty to generate a good idea of the population, if it's not too selection biased in some way that runs counter to a thesis.

One is not a subset of the other. For starters, far fewer nonpaid readers read NYT because it's not free and therefore unavailable to them.

I subscribe to NYT but it’s not my go to source.
I would read it a lot more if it were a physical paper. In the e format it’s a different and less satisfying puruse experience.
Amongst the best in writing style but so much effort is to highlight cultural issues that I never seem to get to or have the appetite for what I consider to be news of old.

Aren't there 332,000,000 Americans or close to it?
Together, the Slimes and the Compost have about 10,000,000 subscribers. What's that, around 4%?...

Maybe
This says 238K in January 2019
I believe the chart at the top of this thread might be web only - not delivered circulation

Well remember, those NYT subscribers are very new, relatively. For NYT, online subscriptions on the whole only go back the past 10 years or so.
It could just be that the Trib is behind the curve on online subscriptions.

I could have written that verbatim. I used to love paging through the times on weekends.
