Even if true, "Americans will have to cut back on meat" is a euphemism for "poor Americans will have to cut back on meat". Because it will just get more expensive.

I think by 2040 the amount of meat produced will need to double to support world consumption at current levels. That ain’t happening.
Plant based and engineered meat is getting close to meeting criteria. Texture, price and taste being the same. Already being sold in a couple of countries and will hit our shores in the next year or two.
It’s coming and price and distribution platform or the next two things to solve. Just not in 2021, I bet in 2025 things will look radically different.
