Dutch newspaper reports on a risk assessment of Huawei - in 2010.

(KPN (in full Koninklijke KPN N.V., also Royal KPN N.V.) is a Dutch landline and mobile telecommunications company. KPN originated from a government-run postal, telegraph and telephone service and is based in Rotterdam, Netherlands.)

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

@mik read the twitter thread. Not where it says "thread" - just follow the original tweet's numbers.

What was it you said China was again?

          Oh, yeah.

The twitter thread says a lot about all sorts of access Huawei has to KPN's network. This is not unique in the sense that just about any major equipment supplier has all sorts of access to a telecom service provider's network where its equipment is used.

The real issue is not whether your equipment supplier has all sorts of access to your network, but whether you trust your equipment supplier. In the case of Huawei (or even suppliers from China in general), it does not have that trust.
