My dad's uncle was a navigator in WW1 - killed in France in August 1918. Last time I was visiting my mum I found letters from him my dad had hidden away, and some photos, along with a lock of his hair my grandmother kept. The letters were real Boy's Own stuff - 'Bagged another Hun on Sunday..' kind of thing.

I really need to get them digitized.
