“Cry havoc and let slip the DOGE of war!”

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

They have nothing to prove or be proud about. The small mob of libertarian and religious nut bars that showed up on Sunday to protest were a joke. The pastor needs to be booted out by his own congregation or arrested [again]. One of the two and, if the latter, jailed under the Alberta public health act. Most folks here have had about enough of these fanatics.

Just curious, how do "those fanatics" who attended that church service manifest themselves in your life?

They don't other than to defy public health orders to which they, as residents of this province, are obliged to comply.

You have an issue with that?

Other than that it's a small thing, no. I am surrounded by people who would fire me if they knew how I was raised and how I thought. That's all.

Ok, so, they could be told in secret that I am who I am. But I can't tell them out loud.

How you were raised is of no consequence and irrelevant to this news story which, in case you haven't noticed, is not happening anywhere near your place of work.

Yeah the cultural forces I am well acquainted with are irrelevant. As a Canadian, I am sure you can relate. But as an historian, maybe you should be.

Yes I am concerned about the provocations and open non compliance of certain segments of the population, most often self professed libertarian and fundamentalist Christian, as well as the lack of will by the elected conservative provincial government to enforce its own regulations:

How you were raised is of no consequence and irrelevant to this news story which, in case you haven't noticed, is not happening anywhere near your place of work.

Yeah the cultural forces I am well acquainted with are irrelevant. As a Canadian, I am sure you can relate. But as an historian, maybe you should be.

Yes I am concerned about the provocations and open non compliance of certain segments of the population, most often self professed libertarian and fundamentalist Christian, as well as the lack of will by the elected conservative provincial government to enforce its own regulations:

I should certainly hope so, especially after having been mistaken by that other person for Trump.
