My son and I were talking taxes last night...Because of COVID this last year, his part-time gig money was off $20K.

I feel sorry for the guys who depend on that kind of work for a living....

I haven't gotten specific with my New Orleans musician friends, but they have, for sure, been hurting - doing anything possible to keep up a stream of income. Lots of performances via Facebook, Youtube from various homes and front porches.

@jolly said in It's the little things.:

Others are way, way up. It's a massive change, but it's not a bad one for everyone.

        Please love yourself.

You know some musicians who are doing well in this environment?

Chicago Symphony has not performed live in over a year. Rumor is that their salaries have been cut by 50%.

            But, it's a rumor.

Not musicians, no. They're pretty much all getting hit very hard. But folks in other creative industries, yes. Some folks are even giving NFT a go and it's working out for them.

              Please love yourself.

Because they're making money in other ways or they just aren't going in the hole playing music?
