      Insanity.

As I have long said, this is not a quest for equality but for power and advantage.

I don't agree. It's more a quest to feel morally superior by the people making the suggestions.

        I was only joking

Brigham and Women’s Hospital told the Washington Examiner in a statement that the article is an "opinion piece written by two physicians, not a formal position of the hospital."

I'm sure we all know physicians who occasionally say some weird stuff.

The statenent continued: "As part of this commitment, researchers have proposed a pilot program for heart failure patients that aims to address the racial inequities found in a recent study, which found that race, as well as other factors, affected who was admitted to cardiology service at the hospital. Aspects of this pilot program were described within the opinion piece you’ve cited. This program offers a critical step toward identifying opportunities to improve access for patients who have been historically denied equal access."

Yeah, my first thought in reading this was "that's a helluva admission". They have just admitted culpability and bias. The door is wide open.

The stuff in Loudoun County has come up on the forum. I am still trying to find out answers from the School Board about which past policies of LCPS were inequitable and which actions and failures of the district in the past do we look at as being endemically racist, what their specific plans are to change those plans, and to what degree is the board to be held accountable? Do we have statistics on how African American students in our district have performed against caucasians in our district, and do we have those comparisons showing how they compare nationally? I've asked for the analysis that demonstrates causality from school system policies and how they have affect students of color, and I've asked for the studies that show the effectiveness and success of these new programs that they are initiating in similar districts across the United States.

                    I haven't heard back.
