When I watched “Soul,” I was very impressed at how realistic and how precisely the pianist’s hands were animated and fit to music. I wish the video talks even more about that, but it’s a good start:

That is true. My issue with using a figure skater to demonstrate the conservation of angular momentum is that it’s harder to rule out the figure skater actively adding energy into the system. Using an inanimate object, one without a power source, to do that demonstration is IMO more convincing.

I am especially impressed by the “quadruple helix” part around the 1:25 mark, how the four helixes weaved in and out of each other without knocking each other down. Rewatching it a second time I’m guessing she might have had a scare around the 1:40~1:41 mark.
