That's one thing I thought about doing if I had an ungodly amount of money. Y'know, years in, once you've long since bought all the obvious shit and you need to start getting creative with how you spend because you're so bored. Get rid of the smartphone and everything modern, and only own 80s and 90s tech. Walkmans, boom boxes, even tshirts with vintage designs affixed with crappy heat transfers. Own, wear, and use absolutely nothing past 1990 and have engineers at the ready to fix all the stuff when it inevitably breaks.

He’s just repeating technology. Walkman, boom box, stereo, CD player. Calculator, word processor, computer... DVD, Betamax, and so on...

I could probably buy all of that for less than this phone, and that stuff wasn’t outdated 2 year after purchase.
