@Aqua-Letifer seemed like a big deal 18 months ago, didn't it?

Apparently, she told her mom, too:

    https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/scott-whitlock/2020/04/24/shock-video-joe-bidens-accusers-mother-talking-cnn-1993

LARRY KING: We're back - a couple more phone calls on this very important topic. Our guests are former United States Senator Howard Baker; Richard Allen, former National Security Adviser; and Lois Romano of The Washington Post. San Luis Obispo, California, hello.

CALLER: Yes, hello. I'm wondering what a staffer would do besides go to the press in Washington? My daughter has just left there, after working for a prominent senator, and could not get through with her problems at all, and the only thing she could have done was go to the press, and she chose not to do it out of respect for him.

KING: In other words, she had a story to tell but, out of respect for the person she worked for, she didn't tell it?

    CALLER: : That's true.

KING: Yes, but these are the people who do come to the Lois Romanos, right?

LOIS ROMANO (The Washington Post) : Uh-huh.

KING: The staff worker who says, 'I want to let you know about what's going on either with my boss or the guy down the hall.'

ROMANO: 'This is going on, and I'm troubled.' Uh-huh. And a lot of these people have a sense of obligation. They feel that this public official should be accountable, if it's something wrong.

KING: They're whistle-blowers to the press.

    ROMANO: Exactly.

On the identity of the caller, Grim wrote:

Toward the end of the program, [King] introduces a caller dialing in from San Luis Obispo, California. Congressional records list August 1993 as Reade’s last month of employment with Biden’s Senate office, and, according to property records, Reade’s mother, Jeanette Altimus, was living in San Luis Obispo County.

    (....)

There are several notable things about the emergence of the call. On the one hand, the caller does not specifically mention “sexual harassment” or retaliation, as Reade had recalled. On the other hand, the reference to being unable to “get through with her problems” aligns with Reade’s claim that she complained to superiors in Biden’s office and got nowhere, and the reference to going to the press makes clear that the caller is talking about more than just generic problems at the office. The problems, she makes clear, would damage the senator if exposed.

Nothing to see here. If it's not in the NYT, it didn't happen.

I have great compassion for Tara Reade. I can't help but notice that the left doesn't seem to care. Do you folks think this is a general characteristic of people on the right vs people on the left? Do people on the right simply have more human compassion in their hearts? I think definitely so. I wish I could teach compassion to others, but I fear one must be born with it. As I was, with such beautiful abundance.

          Education is extremely important.

Medium did a review though this story is clearly still developing. I've never been a fan of him. I'd love to challenge him to a push up contest. Medium suggests she's a squirrel - but even squirrels can be assaulted.

There’s a lot ponder after reading this. Sounds like more victims will need to come forward if there is going to be any traction on this issue.

Interesting. Medium spends at least ⅓ of the article talking about her affections for Putin. I fail to see how that's relevant in any way.

Also, the article talks about many things she said after her alleged assault, which has contemporaneous verification, at least as far as the fact that it was reported to family, friends, and, presumably, Senate staff. When was she lying, in 1993, or after that? The fact that her (presumed) mother verified the event of 1993 makes it likely that she was telling the truth, at least as far as she saw it at the time, then.

And a search of CNN.com for "Tara Reade" 5 minutes ago shows four stories, one talking about how the "Democrats are grappling with the story," another about Trump and the virus, the Larry King tape (twice). Look at how CNN covered the Kavanaugh story, and that'll tell you all you need to know.

                  Well, lookie here:

                  https://www.foxnews.com/media/cnn-larry-king-episode-featuring-biden-accusers-mother-disappears-from-google-play-catalog

The 1993 episode of CNN's "Larry King Live" featuring an anonymous caller who was later identified as the mother of Biden accuser Tara Reade was no longer listed in Google Play's catalog late Saturday.

Twitter user J.L. Hamilton shared a screenshot showing the Aug. 11, 1993, broadcast of "Larry King Live" was no longer listed in the season three catalog of the iconic CNN talk show. Mysteriously, though, the Aug. 10 broadcast, which is listed as "Episode 154" is followed by the Aug. 12 broadcast, which is listed as "Episode 155," suggesting that episode and the ones that follow could be incorrectly listed and off by a number.

Fox News later verified the Aug. 11 episode is not listed on the streaming service. It is unclear when it was removed from the catalog.
Neither CNN nor Google immediately responded to Fox News' requests for comment. Fox News also reached out to the representation of Larry King and have not heard a response.

                      The Emily Litella Moment:

                      https://nypost.com/2020/05/02/tara-reade-says-biden-complaint-wouldnt-include-sex-assault/

Tara Reade’s 1993 complaint against Joe Biden, which she says was filed to the Congressional Personnel Office, does not include any explicit accusations of sexual assault.

“I remember talking about him wanting me to serve drinks because he liked my legs and thought I was pretty and it made me uncomfortable,” Reade told the Associated Press Friday. “I know that I was too scared to write about the sexual assault.”

Reade, a former Senate staffer, has accused Biden of pressing her up against a wall and sexually assaulting her 27 years ago.

AP today reported on notes from its interview last year with Reade in which she said she “chickened out” after visiting the Senate Personnel Office. In the 2019 interview, Reade spoke about Biden making her uncomfortable and inappropriate touching, but did not allege sexual assault.

Reade said she did not come forward publicly last year because she feared the possibility of retaliation and public backlash and that she was still herself working through the trauma of what happened.

But she would complain about a comment about her legs and looks. Hmm. Still, if there was a record of a complaint. there is something there that is consistent with Biden's behavior.

I guess that despite the accusations, I hope Biden does not drop out. He will not drive voters to the polls and he will be beaten. I'm not crazy about another four years of Trump either. His performance during this crisis has left me with Trump fatigue.

The San Luis Obispo County court filing is the first official public record confirming she made allegations at that time.

A court document from 1996 shows former Senate staffer Tara Reade told her ex-husband she was sexually harassed while working for Joe Biden in 1993.

The declaration — exclusively obtained by The Tribune in San Luis Obispo, California — does not say Biden committed the harassment nor does it mention Reade’s more recent allegations of sexual assault.

Reade’s then-husband Theodore Dronen wrote the court declaration. Dronen at the time was contesting a restraining order Reade filed against him days after he filed for divorce, Superior Court records show.

In it, he writes Reade told him about “a problem she was having at work regarding sexual harassment, in U.S. Senator Joe Biden’s office.”
