For those not in the know, he's arguably the greatest cricketer in history, and he's only 47.

Saw a piece the other day on two young men - one 17 the other 26, no underlying health problems - who both needed double lung transplants due to COVID. This shit is no joke.

There has to be a genetic component that we don't know about. My SIL and MIL were both hospitalized. My BIL should have been, but refused. My wife ran fever for twelve days. My 31 year-old niece (BIL's daughter) did a face plant in her kitchen and woke up in the ambulance.

I was infected at the same time. I had sinus problems for two days, no fever. BIL's wife ran fever two days with some body aches, then felt fine in another day. SIL's husband tested positive, but was asymptomatic.

        Strange disease...

Yes, that does seem likely, from my admittedly totally uneducated perspective. It's bizarre how what can be so minor for one person can also be so awful for another.

It's easy to overestimate the degree to which "education" on these topics inform one to hone in on the Correct answer.

Actually, here's a fun game to play: watch those who advocate for "education" on complex and essentially unknowable topics that have social importance, such as COVID and how to deal with it, or, more classically, global warming and how to deal with it, and see if they are actually uneducated on the topic, but at the same time, totally sure that the most common pop culture conclusion is the correct one. Watch to see if those who advocate for education are really only taking sides that are determined politically.

            Education is extremely important.

Here's a fun game to play: Chess.

Try playing it without any education against somebody who has studied it, and see what happens.

It's very easy to underestimate the importance of education regarding topics that we don't know very much about.

Chess is far more amenable to study by laymen than COVID virology.

I take your original point, however the actual cure for Covid, rather than a load of opinionated bullshit about wearing masks, is very unlikely to come from some guy on Facebook.
