Ha! Got it to work!
In between I became a little nervous when a very alarming error message specifying that for cryptic reasons the server cannot be reinstalled from the backup popped up. But it seems to have worked. Please say "hello" if it works on your side, too

That was amazingly smooth.
I'd like to use this opportunity to thank Popek and Goldberg for their invention of virtualization back in '74. Without you guys, this would have been a nightmare.

We now run on twice the amount of RAM and four times the amount of HDD space. That should end the issues with the database running out of RAM, and the HDD space should be enough forever.

If more people who can't post would speak up, maybe we could finally get the moderators to do something about this widespread problem. I'm actually not aware of a single poster who's able to post anymore. And the moderators do nothing.
Education is extremely important.

As a kid I once had to take a number 2 after eating a lot of beans and hot dogs and after I got done I noticed there wasn't any toilet paper but there was a jar of cotton balls and so I figured I could just use a handful of those but they weren't high-quality cotton balls so they shredded apart as I was using them and it created this awful, bulbous mass of poo and cotton balls that was stuck to my bottom which I had to peel off and then throw away in a trashcan but the only trashcan that had a bag as a liner was in the kitchen so I had to hold the stuff in my hand and also hike my pants up while there was still a massive brown patch on my bottom and even though I ran to the kitchen I still dropped some on the ground and that's about the time my mom regretted not just getting a labrador instead.
