The slippery slope argument is occasionally used by those who oppose legislation intended to protect the population. Frequently, the actual motivation is something less innocent.

Well that's my wife and my SIL, both who have had COVID and the first shot. TPTB can go get fucked.
Secondly, you do know that as it now stands, the COVID shot is looking more and more like a yearly event.
Hard to enforce compliance for that.Lastly, have you seen the cards? I can fake that in thirty seconds.

I had the virus and I had the vaccine. Nobody could give me covid-19 now if they tried.

I think the real avenue to greater compliance is in the workplace. If you want to come to work you have to be vaccinated. Restaurants and flights wont do it, nor will a passport. Hell, we couldn't get a lot of people to wear masks and not socialize. What makes us think we can make them use and enforce a passport?

Thing is we have no control over whether Covid mutates and becomes a deadly killer of all and makes the vaccinations useless. So it might be better we aim for real control over Covid in our society as a whole right now?I feel the same regarding democratic societal needs when it comes to the greedy person who hides behind their company & doesn't pay taxes, or the egotist who thinks they can riot in protest.

The reaction to masks and vaccines has caused me to lose the plot with the GOP. It’s a hill to die on that you will not find me on or near or excusing.
