Unlike most vaccines, the COVID stuff does not guarantee that you won't catch the disease, rather it should either be an asymptomatic or very light case.

Also, don't know what kind of antibodies Gatlin had, that early in the shot sequence.

I thought that regular flu shots were considerably less than 100% effective - like maybe only 60%?

Nope.

40% and @jon-nyc is wrong. Most vaccines are not 100% or even close on 1-2 doses. Polio is only 90% at 2 doses. TB vaccine efficacy is only 20%...

95% efficacy on 2 doses is astounding.
