For years, the NFL Salary Cap has increased about $10M/yr. Last year, revenues were off, so the cap actually dropped about $15M for this coming season.
Across the league, a lot of guys are becoming cap casualties. Players who have been in the league over five years and make over what their rookie contracts paid. Also, aging players who are trying to hang in there for another year or two, making a little less money than their prime years, but helping build their retirement.
Rosters are going to look a lot different for the 2021 season....
