Always fun to watch a conductor rehearse something. This is from "Great Performances" in 1991.

That was back when I was involved with the symphony. I attended some of those broadcasts. It's interesting to see some of the orchestra members who played at our house (e.g. John Sharp, principle cellist). Fun to see the "screaming skull" conducting (Solti).

One of my first dates with my now Mrs. Kluurs was back then. I had seats near the stage. She was surprised to see orchestral members waving and saying hello to me from the stage.

My sole excursion as an undergrad into the world of the School of Music, was a year long music history course (grad level, and I have no idea how I wrangled my way into it, other than I needed the credits, but not the coursework).

Louise Dixon was in that class with me (she just retired last year).

And Sue has aged very little in 30 years, just like the rest of us, amirite?
