I think the factors they cite account for the lower death rates - relative youth, exposure to more pathogens and more open air settings. Warmer climates may help as well.

Good points and I agree contribute. There may also be "gene" factor. I know in the US, they talk about how black people and spanish people get more COVID, than white people.
