    I suppose they are counting on people to have forgotten the last piece of shit they named Maverick.

          I don't even remember that one.

          But, Wiki says it was built on the Falcon platform? Well, there you go.

            I don’t think it was. The Falcon was a pretty good car built on a frame. Maverick was unibody. Aka tinfoil. I wrapped one around a 56 Roadmaster in a perfect L right behind my seat. Didn’t even break the headlight on the Buick.

                https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Maverick_(Americas)

                The Ford Maverick is a compact car manufactured and marketed by Ford for model years 1970–1977 in the United States, originally as a two-door sedan employing a rear-wheel drive platform original to the 1960 Falcon — and subsequently as a four-door sedan on the same platform

                  If they made a single cab the size of the old ranger, and made it look like a slightly bigger 1972 Courier, I would sell my '75 F100 to buy it. Maverick looks like just another boring modern pick up.

                    I stand corrected. Ford introduced Unibody in 1960 with the Falcon.

                      @mik

                      And then took it to the F100 line in 1961.
