Leaders of the General Baptist Council of Associations have recommended an investigation of a minister who preached that “weight control” by wives is the solution for marital problems.
Stewart-Allen Clark, pastor of the First General Baptist Church in Malden, Missouri, is seen in video clips of a Feb. 21 sermon questioning the appearance of women after they marry their husbands.
“Why is it so many times that women after they get married let themselves go?” he asks, standing on a stage with what appears to be a large open Bible in his left hand. “Why do they do that?”
Links to sermons from the church’s website are no longer available, but the Friendly Atheist blog featured a series of clips from the mid-February sermon."Let themselves go?"
Look at this asshat:

Look at this asshat:
He's not exactly God's gift to women, is he?
I have to say, if I was in that congregation, the inclination to shout out 'hey, fatso!' would be overwhelming.

Don't care for it, either.

Reminds me of this tweet from Joe Scarborough, after Vernon Jordan died earlier this week:
Several years ago, Vernon Jordan walked up to me on the way to catching a plane in DCA, shook my hand and said, “Son, when you’re on TV, show some respect to those watching you and wear a tie.” I said “Yessir.” He smiled and walked off.
I started wearing a tie the next day.

I just watched the clip. This isn’t his first rodeo, it’s shocking it took this long for it to come out. It’s unshareable.
