People are having fun with this:

          #NoKeyLeftBehind

          Star Mangled Banner

Singing in the key of Q

          "All keys matter"

          Only non-witches get due process.

UPDATE: The singer’s name is Sailor Sabol. She’s a GOP member from Orlando, Florida, and she’s available for weddings, christenings and executions.

Yeah, me too. What was she thinking? Presumably, crushing nerves got the better of her.

She's going to get a ton of shit, now.

I wonder what caused her to make all these pitch changes. She seems to be a good singer otherwise. Maybe some noise in the background that we don't hear?

No, it's a movie, a comedy. That's actually Frank Dreben singing.

I applaud the singer Sailor Sabol's courage and passion for her art. She will get tons more views on social media than many singers who sing the Star Spangled Banner with fewer key changes.

I would invite everyone to listen to it again. Somehow it’s worse the second time.

                              Honestly it’s amazing. Preternaturally bad.

Like many things associated with the PR of the recent administration, I'm left wondering if they did it deliberately for a bet.

The vocalist must be exceptionally skilled to have done this deliberately.

@jon-nyc I couldn’t make it through the first time. I just listened to the whole thing. WTF. How do you pick somebody that can’t stay on key for something big like this? I mean, many people get a case of nerves, pitch wavers slight, or goes a little off key on the high notes, or forgets words - but this was awful. What happened? Did she have some sort of earpiece that messed her up? I’m assuming they heard a clip of her singing before they asked her to do this?

I have sometimes wondered what it would sound like if someone put together a pastiche in the style of Charles Ives on Star Spangled Banner for prepared vocalist and well tempered piano. I guess this would qualify.

                                        Interesting.
