Between the ideological gatekeeper hegemonies and the social media apps that create ideological bubbles and individual realities we are in for a shit show of our own creation.
It has become increasingly impossible to talk to people normally anymore on so many topics because all that they see is viral crap, sarcasm and stuff they’ve unwittingly programmed their devices to show them.
We’ve made our brains as dysfunctional as our bodies. Call it cranial metabolic syndrome.

Except for older people.If you look at the stats about the Hunter Biden story, the Gatekeepers smothered that one story so effectively, it may have swung the election. So the power to mold knowledge and opinion is still there.

Except for older people.Except for the very poor, everyone else can get plugged in too. Even then people are working on bridging the digital divide for the poor. Being "old" is not a good excuse for letting yourself be the prisoner of one or two media outlets.
