Time to fire up the grill
-
How do you normally prep an old charcoal grill? Some go all out with cleaners and wire brushes and others just run a hot burn. I fall in the middle.
Spent some time yesterday cleaning off the grill and ran a hot burn to prepare it for today. Now I’m getting it set to a nice 225 and am prepping the ribs to go on in 15 minutes...
Had no time for this last year, so am going to make the best of a bad situation this year.

I do a hot burn and then brush it with a wet brush. I do that before every grill whether I grilled the night before or 5 months ago.
Well, sometimes in the summer I’ll use one half one night, the other the next, and do a hot burn the following time.
Wastes fuel, but it’s easy.

How do we insert photos? Do I have to go back to hosting on a site and linking?

To save space on the server, yes.
It's possible to put pics here directly, but they will start taking up space and we'll have to upgrade to a larger server, if I understand correctly.
Remember the "good" old days when you couldn't hotlink a picture.
Good times.

Don’t worry about this too much. If space becomes an issue I can presumably just delete images but keep the posts.
