Mrs. Kluurs has a distant relative who was explaining that there is no vaccine for Covid. They give you a "shot" - and you may need to get a shot every year - like the flu - but it isn't a vaccine. She doesn't plan on getting one even though she works in a grocery store and is eligible for one because it is all a fraud.

She's a person who prides herself on thinking "different." I've joked that were she to have a windfall of cash, she'd trade it for magic beans. If there's a sign saying the bridge is out over the river, she'd wonder why they didn't want people to get to the other side - and how did we really know that the bridge was out? Those are predilections which are fine, but there's no intellect to sort out fact from fiction.

When a person is a member of a tribe the only way they can improve their status is to participate more fully and faithfully in the rituals of the tribe.
Getting a tribal member to disagree with the any algorithm of the tribe is an existential threat to their membership and status.
Therein lies the conundrum. Is the cure for the stupidity worth it? What tribe will she belong to?
