Considering Massachusetts education record, pretty good, actually.

This is just the tip of the iceberg of the impact of Covid. I said it in March and it’s all that will be increasingly written about a year later.

School near me has been closed for about 9 months now.

Loudoun county is allowing a hybrid option (2 days in, 2 days out) along with remote learning starting March 3rd. Since the in class instruction will consist of sitting at the desk with your Chromebook watching the teacher teach remotely, we’ve decided to opt for staying home.
I get that in person instruction is much better, but after a 3 quarters, what’s the point? I almost feel like trying to transition back creates more of a disruption to their learning than any benefit they would get from a quarter in school...

Our school has a hybrid option and a remote-only option. the vast majority have been doing hybrid all year except for a couple of temporary full closures they've had.
they allow you to switch between the two options only at quarter breaks.
Fortunately I'll be vaccinated in time to let the boy attend in Q4. I think its especially important because its his first year of middle school.

Staying with the online schooling for the boy until next September. By then both of us should have our vaccinations. My wife will probably get hers in the next few weeks being that she is a health care worker. I expect mine in June or July. Roll out here is slow and poorly organized at the provincial level.
