Some wind farms are so large, It would seem logical and even cost effective to construct a manufacturing facility on site for parts. I understand the process to manufacture and to dispose of such blades when their useful life is over, is not all that environmentally friendly.

And in between manufacture and disposal it's not that friendly either.

I think this was posted on the old forum board, but it is a video of a transport of a wind turbine blade on a narrow road and making a 90 degrees turn. Quite impressive

Awesome indeed. I wonder who's steering the wheels on the trailer.
In the US, long ("Hook and Ladder") fire trucks have someone steering the rear of the vehicle.
