Once I was in a cynical mood while going through airport security. I was looking at all the time and expense that went into it. Hundreds of man years wasted per day just by people all over the country standing in line. Not to mention the ritual of taking off your shoes. I called it the modern equivalent of jizyah, the tax that non-believers had to pay to their Muslim rulers.
Anyway every time I see that fence for the rest of my life the phrase ‘Magat tax’ will come to mind. It’s the enduring physical symbol of Trump’s Great Lie.
