Fascinating to watch

Thinking about this, this has to be one of the most recognizable film scores ever written.
And of you think about its competition, they’re usually from franchises.
Bond theme, Jaws theme, Star Wars, Pink Panther. All franchises ranging from a decade to six decades and counting.
This was a single move that came out half a century ago.
Is there anything comparable in terms of recognition? Maybe Psycho with the shower scene.

I thought of that. But that’s a musical. All the famous musicals have recognizable songs.
But yeah, it’s up there in recognition.

Yeah, but again a franchise. On the order of Jaws. A good decade long, three or four films.
But it's up there in recognizability.

We can discount the main Bond theme since it's a franchise, but what about all the title themes?

I know the simple minds song, but have no idea what movie it is associated with or whether the song predates said movie or not.

The third song I've never heard. That I remember anyway.
The second I know but I didn't have 'unaided awareness' either of the title or the theme itself.
Compare that to Jaws, pink panther, James Bond, TGBU - those we all know when we hear the first riff, and most of us can summon in our mind at will.

Trumpets were sloppy.
Yup. I liked the performance, too, but the trumpets in the original version are way better.
I'm a big fan of the movie, too. So epic!
