Americans are debating whether it's OK to drink bleach, based on sarcastic remarks made by a former reality TV host.

It's the dose of medication at which 50% exposed to that dose will die. LD = "Lethal Dose."

Cool! Why did they stop it? You don’t hear much about that for viral treatment today. Did they do it in the 57 or 68 outbreaks? Was it attempted for SARS, MERS, or Ebola?

The only places I can find are wackadoodle sites and youtube that are pushing this as a treatment for everything and anything.
The only real news sources I found were not favorable.
