TCM has had several in their rotation lately. Watched Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Singin' In The Rain, yesterday.
Wish they still made stuff like that.

Never been a big fan of musicals. But Singin' In The Rain? I love that movie.
And The Wizard of Oz, of course.

There is the occasional musical, I really like them
La La Land always starts a brawl here, I like it
Here is another fairly recent try

It has some nice upbeat tunes.
P.T. Barnum, a kid with nothing, creates the Greatest Show on Earth.
Triumph! What more could you want?

Good songs. Good characters. A not ridiculous plot (see "Sweet Charity" which had one of those three.

Now that I am flipping back through some 1970s musicals, I have to say I don't like 1970s musicals as much. Maybe it's just Bob Fosse.
The 1970s had problems in general with style, maybe it's Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter. Or maybe it's just low quality recordings.

@George-K I like it. It was Broadway, then Disney made the movie. I'm a sucker for Disney Movies.
Alan Menken music, Christian (Batman) Bale, Robert Duvall as Joseph Pulitzer

I enjoy them live, but I can't stand them on a screen.

I really like Singing in the Rain. Also Sound of Music. Greatest Showman was fun also.
I guess I am on the side of liking musicals.
I even liked the High School Musical series!
